Write a letter to the railway authorities requesting adequate compensation for goods lost in transit.
Dear Sir or Madam:
We would like to bring to your kind attention that our consignment of hosiery goods sent from Amritsar on November 10, 2019 was tampered with during transit. This fact has been duly certified by the railway clerk at Thane station from whom we received the consignment. His remarks are enclosed herewith. We are writing to request compensation for our losses.
The pilferage of woollen clothes has resulted in huge losses for us. We have enclosed an itemized list of the lost items along with their costs and we must insist that you register the claim of ours and reimburse us immediately.
