Notes

Use is when the subject is a singular noun. Examples: girl, book, dog, teacher, tree, bird etc.

Use is when the subject is a singular pronoun. Examples: he, she, it.

Use are when the subject is a plural noun. Examples are: boys, books, pens, toys, students, teachers, parents, mothers, nations etc.

Use are when the subject is a plural pronoun. Examples are: they, we, you

Use am when the subject is the singular pronoun I.
