Use yes with affirmative sentences; use no with negative sentences.
- Are you going out? Yes, I'm. (NOT Yes, I'm not)
- Are you coming with us? No, I'm not.
- I have no idea what is happening. No, I haven't either.
- Haven't you got a sister? Yes, I have.
- Haven't you got a car? No, I haven't.
- Rani came in the morning, didn't she? Yes, she did.
- Did Sam pass the test? No, he didn't.
- Do you speak English? Yes, I do.
- Can you drive? Yes, I can.
- Can you swim? No, I can't.
- Did you see him yesterday? No, I didn't
- Have you had your lunch? No, I haven't.
- Have the guests arrived? No, they haven't.
- Will you come with me? No, I won't.
- Will they help us? Yes, they will.
