It begins with a capital letter and ends with a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark.<\/p>\n<p>There are mainly four types of sentences.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Declarative or assertive sentence<\/li>\n<li>Interrogative sentence<\/li>\n<li>Exclamatory sentence<\/li>\n<li>Imperative sentence<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Declarative sentence<\/h2>\n<p>A sentence that says or states something is called a <strong>declarative or an assertive sentence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Examples are given below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My brother works in a factory.<\/li>\n<li>I have a sister.<\/li>\n<li>Susie is an architect.<\/li>\n<li>My mother makes delicious pizza.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Interrogative sentences<\/h2>\n<p>Sentences that ask for information are called interrogative sentences. They end with a question mark.<\/p>\n<p>Examples are given below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Who told you this?<\/li>\n<li>Have you watched that movie?<\/li>\n<li>Who are you looking for?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Imperative sentence<\/h2>\n<p>A sentence which expresses an idea such as an order, a command or a request is an imperative sentence. Examples are given below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Come here.<\/li>\n<li>Sit down.<\/li>\n<li>Help me.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Exclamatory sentence<\/h2>\n<p>A sentence which expresses a strong and sudden feeling is an exclamatory sentence.
