So, a green room is a room in the studio or theater where performers can rest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Green fingers<\/strong> \u2013 to have green fingers is to have a natural ability in growing plants<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yellow pages<\/strong> \u2013 A telephone directory that lists the numbers of businesses and service providers<\/p>\n<p><strong>White elephant<\/strong> \u2013 This expression is used to refer to something that is very expensive but quite useless.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Red carpet<\/strong> \u2013 To roll out the red carpet is to welcome honored visitors with great respect.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purple prose<\/strong> \u2013 an expression used to refer to prose that is too elaborate<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bluestocking<\/strong> \u2013 a woman who has too much interest in intellectual or literary pursuits.
