That means you cannot connect a noun and a verb or adjective. A noun should be connected to another noun. Likewise, an adjective should be connected to another adjective and a verb should be connected to another verb.<\/p>\n<p>Study the examples given below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I want to read, travel and eat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here the conjunction \u2018and\u2019 connects the verbs read, travel and eat.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>She bought a camera, a laptop <strong>and<\/strong> a printer. (Here the conjunction \u2018and\u2019 connects three nouns \u2013 laptop, camera and printer.)<\/li>\n<li>She cooked, mopped <strong>and<\/strong> cleaned.<\/li>\n<li>OR She did cooking, mopping <strong>and<\/strong> cleaning. (NOT She cooked, mopped and cleaning.) (NOT She did cooking, mopping and cleaned.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fill in the blanks with an appropriate conjunction.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. He fled \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 he was afraid. (for \/ and)<\/p>\n<p>2. \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 you try, you will not succeed. (Unless \/ If)<\/p>\n<p>3.
