(In this sentence the word \u2018water\u2019 is used as a verb.)<\/p>\n<h3>Pen as a noun<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Have you got a pen? (Here the word \u2018pen\u2019 is used as a noun.)<\/p>\n<h3>Pen as a verb<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">This is the house where Anne Frank penned her famous diaries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">After retiring from the army, the General penned a service diary.<\/p>\n<h3>Pocket as a noun<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">He put the money in his pocket. (Here the word pocket is used as a noun.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">There is a hole in my pocket.
