You can watch <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/XvPc6LZUFT4\">\/a Malayalam version of the same video<\/a> here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Study the examples given below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>I work<\/strong> hard for my family.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The verb work becomes works when the subject is a singular noun\/pronoun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Maya works<\/strong> hard for her family.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>He works<\/strong> hard for his family.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Work<\/strong> becomes <strong>worked<\/strong> when the sentence is in the past tense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I <strong>worked<\/strong> very hard yesterday.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He <strong>worked<\/strong> very hard yesterday.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maya <strong>worked<\/strong> very hard yesterday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Such verbs which change their form are called <strong>finite verbs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Non-finite verbs<\/strong> do not change their form when there is a change in the number or person of the subject. She <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">said<\/span> (finite) that she <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">was coming<\/span> (finite).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">injured<\/span> (non-finite) women <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">were taken<\/span> (finite) to the hospital. (Here the past participle injured acts as an adjective modifying the noun women.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.
