Where is yours?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That house is ours. It is bigger than theirs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Possessive pronouns<\/strong> can stand alone. They are not followed by nouns.&nbsp;Before a noun we use possessive adjectives. They are forms like <strong>my, your, our, their, his, her and its.&nbsp;<\/strong>Note that \u2018his\u2019 can be a possessive pronoun or a possessive adjective. It is a possessive adjective when it is followed by a noun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This bag is <strong>his<\/strong>. (Here his is used as a possessive pronoun.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is <strong>his bag<\/strong>.
