Such comes before a\/an.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He is such a clever boy. (NOT He is so a clever boy.) (NOT He is a such clever boy.)<\/li>\n<li>I have never met such a beautiful girl. (NOT I have never met so beautiful girl.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>So<\/strong> is used before an adjective or adverb. Note that before an adjective + noun we use such.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>She is so beautiful. (NOT She is such beautiful.)<\/li>\n<li>You are so kind. (NOT You are such kind.)<\/li>\n<li>You are walking so slowly. (NOT You are walking such slowly.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We can also use<strong> so<\/strong> before <strong>much, many, few and little. Such<\/strong> cannot be used before these determiners.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He said that he was feeling<strong> so much better<\/strong>.
