Examples are: telephone, computer, steam engine, train, rockets etc.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>James Watt <strong>invented<\/strong> the steam engine. (It was James Watt who created the steam engine. It didn\u2019t exist before he invented it.)<\/li>\n<li>Who <strong>invented<\/strong> the light bulb?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Use <strong>discover<\/strong> of something which existed without man\u2019s knowledge. Examples are: stars, galaxies, countries, continents, deserts, mineral deposits etc. Remember that you can\u2019t discover something you created. You can only invent it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Columbus <strong>discovered<\/strong> America. (It wasn\u2019t Columbus who created America. It was already there.)<\/li>\n<li>Who <strong>discovered<\/strong> the North Pole?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>These two words are often confused.
