To express your willingness to do something, use <strong>agree<\/strong> with an infinitive. Accept is not possible in this case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>She <strong>agreed to come<\/strong>. (= She expressed her willingness to come.) (NOT She accepted to come.)<\/li><li>They <strong>agreed to part<\/strong> ways amicably. (NOT They accepted to part ways amicably.)<\/li><li>My sister has <strong>agreed to look<\/strong> after my babies when I am away.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To accept<\/strong> is to take something which is offered because you believe that it is true, fair or right. In this case, accept is followed by a noun or a noun clause which acts as its object.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>She <strong>accepted<\/strong> the offer. (NOT She agreed the offer.)<\/li><li>She said that she would accept the award with pleasure.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accept<\/strong> can be followed by a noun clause or a that-clause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The majority of doctors <strong>accept that<\/strong> smoking can cause cancer.
