(NOT She has telephoned five minutes ago.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The difference between ago and before<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ago is normally used with a simple past to count back from a present moment. Before is used with a past perfect to count back from a past moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I saw him two years ago.
