The expression <b>he or she <\/b>is becoming increasingly common.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>A doctor<\/b> can\u2019t do a good job if <b>he or she<\/b> doesn\u2019t like people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>They<\/h3>\n<p>In an informal style, we often use <b>they <\/b>to mean <b>\u2018he or she\u2019<\/b>. This is particularly common after words like <b>somebody, anybody, nobody <\/b>and <b>person<\/b>.
