OR I want to\u00a0<b>talk with<\/b>\u00a0you.<\/li>\n<li>You must\u00a0<b>talk to<\/b>\u00a0your boss. OR You must\u00a0<b>talk with<\/b>\u00a0your boss.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To\u00a0<b>talk to \/ talk with<\/b>\u00a0somebody is to have a meaningful conversation with them. This is usually a two-way process. That means both parties exchange their ideas.<\/p>\n<p>When you<b>\u00a0talk at<\/b>\u00a0somebody, you are just talking at them. You don\u2019t care whether they are listening or not. You are also not keen on hearing what they have to say. Note that this expression has a negative connotation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He was a difficult boss. He would always\u00a0<b>talk at<\/b>\u00a0you. He wasn\u2019t really interested in hearing what you had to say.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t just\u00a0<b>talk at<\/b>\u00a0me.
