Examples are: kindly (kind), slowly (slow), hardly (hard), sweetly (sweet) etc.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>She is very beautiful (adjective).<\/li>\n<li>She is beautifully (adverb) dressed.<\/li>\n<li>He is a strange (adjective) person.<\/li>\n<li>He behaved strangely (adverb).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Points to be noted<\/h3>\n<p>1. If the adjective ends in <strong>-y,<\/strong> replace it with <strong>-i<\/strong> and then add <strong>-ly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Adjective \/ Adverb<\/p>\n<p>happy \/ happily<br \/>\nangry \/ angrily<br \/>\nlucky \/ luckily<\/p>\n<p>2. If the adjective ends in <strong>-able, -ible, or -le<\/strong>, replace the <strong>-e with -y.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Adjective \/ Adverb<br \/>\nprobable\u00a0 \/ probably<br \/>\ngentle\u00a0 \/ gently<br \/>\nhumble \/ humbly<\/p>\n<p>3. If the adjective ends in <strong>-ic<\/strong>, add <strong>-ally<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Adjective \/ Adverb<br \/>\nbasic \/ basically<br \/>\neconomic \/ economically<\/p>\n<p>This rule, however, has an exception.
