(Incorrect)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here we used two conjunctions (though, but) to connect these two clauses. We have to remove one of them. We can write:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Though<\/strong> she studied hard, she could not score good marks. (Correct)<\/li><li>She studied hard <strong>but<\/strong> she could not score good marks. (Correct)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The conjunctions<strong> as, since<\/strong> and <strong>because<\/strong> show the reason. The <a href=\"https:\/\/perfectyourenglish.com\/blog\/so-as-a-conjunction\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"73775\">conjunction <strong>so<\/strong><\/a> shows the effect. (NOT As she didn\u2019t apply before the deadline, so her application was rejected.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We need a conjunction to connect two clauses. If there is no conjunction, separate the clauses with a full stop or a semicolon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I said nothing. I was angry.<\/li><li>I said nothing because I was angry. (NOT I said nothing. Because I was angry.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/perfectyourenglish.com\/blog\/however-vs-how-ever\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"72328\">However <\/a>is not a conjunction. We cannot use it to connect two clauses. Put a full stop or a semicolon before however.
