Examples are: almost,\u00a0little,\u00a0enough,\u00a0much, too, partly, fully, so,\u00a0rather,\u00a0quite, nearly,\u00a0just, too, hardly, scarcely, very etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Life is <strong>too<\/strong> complicated. (Here the adverb too modifies the adjective complicated.)<\/li><li>She is <strong>quite<\/strong> beautiful. (Here the adverb quite modifies the adjective beautiful.)<\/li><li>I was <strong>pretty<\/strong> bored. (Here the adverb pretty modifies the adjective bored. Note that pretty can also be an adjective. In this case, it means beautiful. As an adverb, pretty is somewhat similar to quite or rather.)<\/li><li>They are <strong>rather<\/strong> rich.<\/li><li>I am <strong>so<\/strong> happy. <\/li><li>It is <strong>very<\/strong> late. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Adverbs of degree usually modify an adjective or another adverb.
