The words mine, ours, yours, theirs, his and hers<\/em> indicate possession. They are called possessive pronouns<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This laptop is mine<\/em><\/strong>. It is not yours<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The words my, our, your, their, his and her<\/em> are possessive adjectives. They are used before a noun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
