The simple present tense has several uses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To talk about general truths<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Magnets attract iron.<\/li>
  • Oil floats on water.<\/li>
  • Water boils at 100 degree Celsius.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    To talk about habits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • He watches a lot of movies.<\/li>
    • He spends much of him in the malls.<\/li>
    • I do not get up early in the morning.<\/li>
    • She keeps her room neat and tidy.<\/li>
    • I enjoy teaching young kids.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      To talk about permanent states and situations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
