When we use this tense form, we usually say when or how often something happens.<\/p>\n<p>To say how often something happens, we use <a href=\"http:\/\/perfectyourenglish.com\/blog\/position-of-frequency-adverbs\/\">frequency adverbs<\/a>. The most common frequency adverbs used with the simple present tense are: always, usually, often, sometimes, occasionally, rarely and never.<\/p>\n<p>To say when something happens, we use time adverbs and prepositions like in, on, at etc.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perfectyourenglish.com\/blog\/preposition-at\/\">At<\/a> is used with clock time. Examples are:\u00a0<i>at six o\u2019clock, at 8.30\u00a0<\/i>etc.<\/p>\n<p>In is used with parts of the day. Examples are:<i>\u00a0in the morning, in the evening, in the afternoon<\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perfectyourenglish.com\/blog\/preposition-on\/\">On<\/a> is used with particular days. Examples are:\u00a0<i>on Sunday, on Monday, on March 21st\u00a0<\/i>etc.<\/p>\n<p>In is also used with years, months and seasons. Examples are:<i>\u00a0in 1979, in April, in winter\u00a0<\/i>etc.<\/p>\n<p><b>Complete the following sentences using appropriate time expressions.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1. How \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 (often \/ much) do you visit your grandparents?<\/p>\n<p>2.
