The meaning of a phrasal verb can be very different from the meanings of the two words taken separately. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some phrasal verbs may have both an adverb particle and a preposition. Examples are: get along with and put up with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>She does not <strong>get along with<\/strong> her colleagues.<\/li><li>We all look up to him.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Fill in the blanks with an appropriate <strong>phrasal verb.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>He was &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.. by his grandmother. (brought on \/ brought up)<\/li><li>They have &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.. the wedding. (called on \/ called off)<\/li><li>The car &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.. on my way home. (broke up \/ broke down)<\/li><li>Cholera has &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230; in the city. (broken out \/ broken up)<\/li><li>He cannot put &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230; injustice.
