(This is a simple sentence because it has just one clause)<\/li><li>I know a girl who is clever. (This is a complex sentence)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We expanded the adjective phrase<strong> a clever girl <\/strong>into the adjective clause <strong>who is clever.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another example is given below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>His suggestion proved helpful.
