That meaning is expressed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/perfectyourenglish.com\/grammar\/simple-past-tense.htm\">simple past<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fill in the blanks with an appropriate <strong>past simple or past perfect tense<\/strong> form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.
