A phrase does not contain a finite a verb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A clause is a group of words that makes complete sense. A clause will always have a subject and a finite verb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>State whether the underlined part is a phrase or clause.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">I saw a man<\/span> waiting for the bus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.
