Yesterday I boarded a KSRTC bus from Shornur. I was traveling to Thrissur to attend a workshop on soft skills. I was running late and in a hurry to reach the bus stop. Unfortunately, I forgot to take my wallet and I hadn\u2019t realized it until after I boarded the bus. By the time, the bus conductor approached me for the bus fare, we had already reached Vadakkanchery. I searched for my wallet in my pocket, and to my shock, I realized that I had left it at home. I didn\u2019t know what I was supposed to do. I thought the conductor would shout at me for not having money to pay for the ticket. He didn\u2019t do that. Instead, he kindly asked me if I had any money on me. I replied that I had left my wallet at home and the good old man issued me a free ticket. I was really moved by that gesture. I offered to pay him the fare the next day but he declined that. He said that he had a son my age and he wanted people to treat him kindly when they found him in similar situations. I thanked the man profusely and got off at Thrissur with a heart full of gratitude.
