That means the subject goes before the auxiliary verb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The teacher said, \u2018What are you doing?\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The teacher <strong>asked what I was<\/strong> doing. (NOT The Teacher asked that what I was doing.) Change them into the indirect \/ reported speech.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. \u2018Leave me alone,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. \u2018I don\u2019t know what I am supposed to do,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. \u2018How are we going to overcome this difficulty?\u2019 they said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.
