Dear Recipient Name:
As we have already discussed, your receipt of this letter represents your official dismissal as an employee of XYZ INC. As you should remember, during the last six months of your employment with us your performance had been evaluated three times. After each evaluation, your supervisor informed you that your performance was not meeting the standard required to continue in your position.
XYZ INC offers its employees the best salary and emoluments and as such we expect them to deliver top notch performance. Since you have expressed an inability to improve your performance, we cannot retain your service. According to company policy, you will receive two months' severance pay. Please refer to the attached summary for more details.
Decisions like this are never easy, but unfortunately we see no alternative considering the fact that you have consistently failed to deliver satisfactory performance. Despite this action, we feel you have significant potential for career growth.
We wish you all the best.
Yours sincerely,
