Adjectives Worksheet for Class 6

Adjectives are words used to describe nouns. See if your students can recognize adjectives when they spot them. Watch our Youtube video to learn more about different kinds of adjectives.

Tips

The names of colours are always adjectives. Examples are: blue, green, yellow.

Numbers (both cardinal and ordinal) are adjectives. Examples are: one, two, first, second etc. The words next and last are also adjectives.

Only adjectives have comparative and superlative forms. For example we can say, tall, taller and tallest. Words belonging to other parts of speech do not have comparative or superlative forms. Adverbs are an exception this rule. Some adverbs, too, have comparative and superlative forms. Example: soon, sooner, soonest.
