Although, Despite And However | Class 10 Grammar Worksheets

The words however, although and despite have very similar meanings. However, they are used in different structures.

However is a transitional adverb. It usually goes at the beginning of a clause. Although is a conjunction. It connects two clauses. Despite is a preposition. It is followed by a noun.
