Nouns are words that name a person, place, thing or animal. Examples are: Sanju, India, bird, book, rice and school.

There are mainly two types of nouns – common nouns and proper nouns.

Common nouns are the common names used to denote persons, places, things and animals of the same kind. Examples are: boy, books, garden, flowers, mother and country.

A proper noun is the name of a particular person, place, animal or thing. Examples are: India, Sonia, Ganga, Paris and Janaki.

Arrange the common nouns given below into proper groups.
