Simple present or present continuous tense | CBSE Class 5 English Grammar
Use the simple present tense to talk about facts and general truths. This is the tense form you should use to talk about your abilities, preferences and things that you do every day.
Use the present continuous tense to talk about actions and situations that are going on at the moment of speaking. This tense form is commonly used with the time expressions ‘now’, ‘at the moment’, ‘currently’ etc.

I enjoy listening to classical music. (Here I use the simple present tense because I am talking about my preferences.)
I am listening to music at the moment. (Here I use the present continuous tense because I am talking about something that I am doing at the moment of speaking.)
