Subject and predicate worksheet for class 3

Each sentence is made up of two parts – the subject and the predicate.

The subject is the person or thing the sentence is about. The rest of the sentence tells us more about that person or thing. This part is called the predicate of the sentence.

In the following sentences separate the subject and the predicate.

1. The monkey was sitting on the branch.

2. The lions chased and killed the bull.

3. The children were writing their exams.

4. The smart boy solved the puzzle easily.

5. The girl and her little brother were waiting outside.

6. I have made a cake.

7. You are my best friend.

12. The kind woman offered food to the beggar.
