Rewrite the following sentences after correcting the errors.

In the simple present tense, the verb takes the marker -s when the subject is a singular noun or pronoun. Read the sentences given below.

My brother wants to be a writer. (Here the verb want becomes wants because the subject is the singular pronoun brother.)

The students work hard. (Here the verb work does not take the marker -s because the subject is a plural noun.)
