Demonstrative Pronouns Worksheet

The words this, that, these and those are called demonstrative pronouns.

This and that are singular pronouns.

These and those are plural pronouns.

This is used to talk about a person or thing near you.

These is used to talk about people or things near you.

That is used to talk about a person or thing away from you.

Those is used to talk about people or things away from you.

Hint

Past verbs indicate distance in time. We are more likely to use that and those with past verbs and this and these with present verbs.
