Notes

When pronouns like himself, herself and themselves are used for emphasis, they are called emphatic pronouns. You can easily remove an emphatic pronoun from a sentence and the sentence will still make complete sense.

When pronouns like himself, herself and yourselves are used as the object of the verb, they are called reflexive pronouns.
