Another
Another can mean one more of the same kind. It is used with singular countable nouns.
- We need another person to finish the work. (= We need one more person to finish the work.)
- He has bought another car.
- Could I have another cup of coffee?
With uncountable and plural nouns, we normally use more, not another .
- Would you like some more milk? (NOT —another milk)
However, another can be used before a plural noun in expressions with few or a number.
- We will wait for another few days.
Another can also mean ‘one that is different’.
- I think we should paint it another colour
