Dear Rahul

I am so sorry to hear that you had an accident yesterday. I heard the news from our friend Shalini. When she called me yesterday, I wasn’t expecting to hear this. Anyway, I am glad that you haven’t suffered any major injuries. After I received her call, I spoke to your brother and he told me that your injuries were not particularly serious.

If I was in Calicut now, I could come and see you in hospital, but unfortunately, we won’t be back before Friday. I am sure you will be discharged before I return from Kochi. We can meet at your home then.
