Kinds of Adverbs Worksheet For Class 6

Adverbs are words used to modify verbs. Adverbs can also modify adjectives and other adverbs.

There are different kinds of adverbs.

Adverbs of time

Examples are: today, tomorrow, yesterday, afternoon, before, now, then, ago

Adverbs of place

Examples are: here, there, outside, inside, outdoors, indoors, near, away

Adverbs of manner

Examples are: kindly, cleverly, bravely, harshly, hard, fast

Adverbs of frequency

Examples are: often, rarely, occasionally, frequently, never, ever

Adverbs of degree/quantity

Examples are: too, rather, quite, fully, enough

Adverbs of reason

Examples are: hence, thus, therefore

Adverbs of affirmation

Examples are: surely, certainly, definitely, probably, obviously

Adverbs of negation

Examples are: not, no longer, hardly, scarcely, rarely, never
