Subject-Verb Agreement Exercise For Class 10

6. The Minister along with his private secretaries is expected to arrive soon. (When you connect two nouns with along with, the verb should agree with the former.)

7. The mother cat as well as her kittens is sleeping in that room. (When you connect two nouns with as well as, the verb should agree with the former.)

8. Neither the mother nor her children are vaccinated. (When you connect two nouns with neither/nor, the verb should agree with the noun closer to nor.)

9. Either Sita or her sisters have to go.  (When you connect two nouns with either/or, the verb should agree with the noun closer to or.)

10. The writer and orator has won many awards. (Here both nouns refer to the same person; hence, we use a singular verb)

11. Neither Raju nor Salim was able to qualify for the match.

12. None of these answers is correct. (Use a singular verb after none of.)
