Verb Or Noun | Class 4 Grammar Worksheets

Some words can be used both as a verb and as a noun. Examples are: answer, wish, play etc.

Study the examples given below.

  • Do you know the answer?

Here the word answer is a noun. It is easy to know whether a word is used as a noun. Most nouns will have an article with them. Also, they have plural forms.

  • She couldn’t answer my question. (Here the word answer is used as a verb.)
