Transformation of Simple to Compound Sentences Exercise with Answers

A simple sentence consists of just one clause. That means it has just one finite verb.

A compound sentence consists of two or more clauses of equal rank connected by a coordinating conjunction.

A simple sentence can be converted into a compound sentence by expanding a word or phrase into a co-ordinate clause.

• You must work hard and earn more money. (Compound sentence)
