The conjunction as can show reason. It is also used to talk about two actions or situations that develop simultaneously.

  • As it was a busy day, I didn’t get time to even have my lunch.
  • As she is pretty, everyone wants to make friends with her.
  • I met Rahul as I was walking down the road.

As can also show the manner in which something is done.

  • Nobody loves her as I do.
