In the simple present tense, we use the auxiliaries do and does to make questions and negatives.
When to use do or does?
Use do when the subject is a plural noun (girls, parents, countries, books) or pronoun (you, they, we).
Use do when the subject is the first person singular pronoun ‘I’.
Use does when the subject is a singular noun (girl, parent, country, book) or pronoun (he, she, it).
