Group Words | Class 5 CBSE Grammar Worksheets

We use certain words to indicate a group of people or things. Examples are: bunch, cluster, gang, team, band, flock etc. You can learn more about collective nouns or group words here and here.

  • Clumps of daisies grew wild in the field. (A clump is a group of trees or plants or a mass of soil or mud)
  • The plow kicked up clumps of soil.
  • Clusters of clovers grew in the yard. (A cluster is a group of stars, flowers etc.)
  • The choir of singers sang beautifully. (A choir is a group of singers.)
  • A flock of sheep blocked the road.
  • A flock of birds flew above the tree.
