5. I heard them running / run up the stairs.

6. She ran out of the room screaming.

7. We heard the sound coming from a distance.

8. I bade him go. (Bid is followed by an infinitive without to.)

9. We saw a girl selling flowers on the street. / We saw a girl sell flowers on the street. (The verb see can be followed by an ing form or an infinitive without to.)
