Conversation 1

Here is a piece of conversation between a waiter and a customer.

Customer: Excuse me?

Waiter: Yes, Sir. Are you ready to order yet?

Customer: Yes, I’d like to order butter chicken with black lentils and Naans, please.

Waiter: Would you like anything to drink with your meal?

Customer: Yes, just a bottle of mineral water, please.

Waiter: Would you like anything for dessert?

Customer: Yes, two ice-creams please.

Waiter: Is that all?

Customer: Yes, that’s it.

Conversation 2

What are my choices?

Waiter: What would you like to order, Sir?

Customer: I’d like bread and eggs, please.

Waiter: How do you want your eggs?

Customer: What are my choices?

Waiter: Well, you can have your eggs scrambled or sunny side-up.

Customer: I think I want scrambled.

Waiter: Would you like to order anything else, Sir?

Customer: Yes, one diet Coke please.

Waiter: OK.

Conversation 3

Can I see the menu, please?

Waiter: What would you like to order, Sir?

Customer: Can I see the menu, please?

Waiter: Certainly. Here you are.

Customer: Thank you.

(The customer takes a look at the menu and says.)

Customer: I’d like to order grilled chicken and rice.

Waiter: Would you like anything to drink with your meal, Sir?

Customer: Yes, I’d like a bottle of mineral water.

(Waiter returns with the food after a few minutes and places it on the table.)

Waiter: Enjoy your meal!

Customer: Thank you.

(After a few minutes the waiter returns.)

Waiter: Would you like to order anything else?

Customer: No thanks. Can I have the bill, please?

Waiter: Sure. That will be Rs.370.

Customer: Here you are. Keep the change!

Waiter: Thank you. Have a nice day!

Customer: Bye.
