Degrees Of Comparison Worksheet For Class 3

Fill in the blanks with the appropriate form of the adjectives.

English adjectives recognize three degrees – positive, comparative and superlative.

In the case of adjectives of one or two syllables, the comparatives and superlatives are formed by adding -er and -est to the positive.

  • Clever – cleverer – cleverest
  • Small – smaller – smallest

Longer adjectives form comparatives and superlatives with more and most.

  • Careful – more careful – most careful
