Present And Past Continuous Tense Worksheet For Classes 6 And 7

The present continuous tense is used to talk about an action or situation that is going on at the moment of speaking.

  • I am writing now.
  • She is reading.
  • It is raining.
  • We are waiting for the bus.

The present continuous tense is commonly used with the time expressions now, at the moment, currently etc.

The past continuous tense is used to say that an action or situation was going on at a particular point of time in the past.

  • It was raining when we went out.
