Dear Recipient name
Please accept my resignation from my position as assistant manager effective March 31. The reason that I am resigning is that my current position does not provide me enough opportunities for professional or financial growth. It is true that I have enjoyed working with you and learned a great deal from you, but this lack of opportunities has forced me to explore newer avenues.
As you know, my job profile has not changed in the five years I have worked with you. I joined your firm as assistant manager and I am still holding that position. Not that I hate my current job. But right now I am seeking a position that would allow me greater freedom to make decisions and function independently.
I have already discussed my aspirations with some placement counselors and the response has been quite encouraging.
Thank you for all your help.
Sincerely
